Our Protected Re-Opening

Covid 19 Important Info

NSVC : Our Protected Re-Opening

NSVC has resumed comprehensive eye care services for our family of patients based upon recommendations from our professional organizations, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and directives from Governor’s office.

Your doctors and staff of NSVC will continue to provide you with the state of the art in advanced eye care services that you are accustomed to. What will be different as part of our “new normal” will be policies, procedures and safeguards that all are intended to ensure the health and wellbeing of our patients, doctors and staff.

NSVC in the COVID19 World

We have instated multiple steps that will help us achieve this goal, including among others:

  • Our schedules will be modified in order to limit the number of persons in the office at any one point in time.
  • We will continue to make “Telehealth” virtual visits available to our patients when appropriate.
  • Having patients call when they arrive at the practice from their cars. Our staff will then call back or text when we are ready to bring you directly to your examination area. You will be personally greeted by a NSVC staff member at our entry door. Patient’s temperature and blood oxygen levels will be taken in our vestibule prior to entry.
  • Patients should come alone to their appointments or have others remain in the car. Exceptions are made for minors and those in need of support.
  • All doctors and staff will have surgical or N95 masks during all patient interactions. We ask that patients come to their appointments with masks or appropriate facial coverings as well. If you don’t have such, we will supply you with a disposable mask.
  • Extensive disinfection procedures are used in all areas of our practice throughout the day and of course following each patient interaction.
  • Our Vision Therapy Service, VDRC, will offer remote/virtual therapy sessions in addition to live in-office therapy under appropriate protective policies.
  • We will make every element of the patient experience both effective, efficient and as safe as possible as we all have the same goal: to provide you with excellence in eye care in the safest way possible.
