Low Vision Correction: Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration
Dr. Carol Barron is the Director of Low Vision Services of North Suburban Vision Consultants, Ltd. and Assistant Professor and Director of Low Vision Services at Northwestern University Medical Center as well as a consultant for the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and an honored Diplomat of the Low Vision Section.
As an honors graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign for her undergraduate degree, Dr. Barron received her professional degree from the State University of New York, College of Optometry and is a former Assistant Professor and Chief of Primary Eye Care Education at the University Optometric Center, State University of New York.

Dr. Barron has extensive experience in low vision rehabilitation services for patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other visual impairments as well as comprehensive eye care and treatment of ocular disease.
