Dr. Strako is the Director of Pediatric Eye Care, Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy Services of North Suburban Vision Consultants, Ltd. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry as well as a member of the American Optometric Association and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Dr. Strako is an honors graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana for his undergraduate degree and a Cum Laude graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry for his professional degree. He completed a post doctoral residency in Pediatric Eye Care and Binocular Vision at the Illinois Eye Institute of the Illinois College of Optometry. During his residency Dr. Strako gained extensive experience and expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients and individuals with binocular vision disorders. In addition, he has provided specialized eye care in such respected institutions as the Wheaton Eye Clinic, department of pediatrics and the Illinois Eye Institute Center for Advanced Eye Care. Dr. Strako is an adjunct faculty member of the Illinois, Salus University, and the University of Missouri St. Louis Colleges of Optometry. He is actively involved in the "Infant See" program of the American Optometric Association which provides free vision screenings for infants under age 1 throughout the United States. Dr. Strako is active in his academic pursuits in terms of lecturing and publishing in the professional literature.

Dr. Strako provides comprehensive eye and vision care for infants, children, and adults. By providing functional and developmental testing and diagnosis, he is able to identify visual dysfunctions in children and determine appropriate therapy. His expertise allows him to diagnose and treat conditions such as strabismus (misaligned or crossed eyes), amblyopia ("lazy eye"), accommodative and convergence dysfunctions and visually related learning disabilities. Dr. Strako also works closely with educators and learning disability specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of learning problems related to visual function and visual perception.
